Hi! Some general question + Wifi USB Realtek RTL8191S

I found an old rt73usb donle in one of the boxes in my cupboard.

I have connected it to the nwsp2 and its working on wpa connection using wpa-supplicant
Thanks for the example conf file, it saved me some time to figure it out. ;)
assigning ip address automatic is not working, but manual works as you described.
lets see if we can solve this last

I did what you recommended on page 5 of this thread )althoug the file is already present one folder up=.

mkdir /lib/firmware
mkdir /lib/firmware/rtlwifi
cp /share/1000/public/rtl8712u.bin /lib/firmware/rtlwifi/
chmod 755 /lib/firmware/rtlwifi/rtl8712u.bin

clearly no driver loaded

its getting confusing.
I will compile a kernel with all drivers included to avoid we miss any modules.
the firmware files should be there in this /lib/firmware folder not sure if it also needs to be in sub folder rtlwifi

at least we know it loads the the firmware from /lib/firmware/rtlwifi

maybe this dongle needs a a newer firmware...
