:twak that is because you use spaces on several places where you shouldn't and you made errors in the commands itself
it must be like this (no space between $ and { in the first two lines)

In the meantime I will prepare a kernel with taking out in the setup file the modifications made and only leave those in place in the disk driver.
The setup file uses a disk map routine maybe it confuses the kernel

windows should be able to run as well putty as the fvdw-sl console, I do it all the time..

you can go in serial with putty then after the turn on the console

ok I see so those two cannot run at same time

I compiled a new kernel but it looks that my internet connection still has problems, I can download with highspeed, but upload is terrible slow few kB/s
so need to file a complaint again. But i will try to get a new kernel upload asap
