I am trying to set the access of my FVDW firmware installed NAS from outside my house and have registered a DDNS hostname but the FVDW web interface doesn't register the details in the "Lan setup/DDNS service" tab.
I can enter the details and accept them but when I go to another tab then back the details are gone.
Any idea?
Thx

I see only one explanation: you do not enter right values and you did not install this patch fvdw-sl-16.1-warning-iesupport-03dec15.zip :tapfoot
Then you did not get the warning

Thank you Jocko. very helpful as usual...Patch now updated.
The web-explorer is available from my LAN ip but not from outside.
I have setup a ddns hostname on NOIP and setup the certificate but it doesn't seem to be available from outside ...
What could be wrong?

Do you open the port 80 (http) or 443 (https) on your ISP box ?

I did, both ports are open (in tcp that is. UDP not needed is it?)

UDP is not used.
So what sort of URL do you use ?

yes that's what I meant Jocko...hostname here is the NOIP hostname, meaning domain.no-ip.biz.
I sent it to you via pm

Yes I saw later your pm and I deleted my post.
So all seems to be ok as I got the authentication popup with your url. So your router and your DDNS account are ok.
How do you try your url ?
If you tried from a laptop on your LAN, then maybe your ISP box does not support loopback. For example, you should try from a smartphone and of course don't use the wifi connection to your ISP box.
