The last days I tested my nws1 with your firmware extensive and I´m very excited. Now I have one question left. Is it possible to place a simple website an the nws1 (like: home.html with simple pictures and text - no scripts or somthing like that). Of course I can create a "web" folder and place the html document like "/usr/htdocs/web/home.html". So I can reach the site with http://mynsw1/web/home.html. But I´m asked for user and password to access home.html. If I put in this information the home.html is displayed in my browser. Perfekt so far. But is there a possibility to place the html document alsewhere so that it is reachable without username and password routine? Thank you for any information. :hail

No this will not solve your problem, to do what you want would require disabling authentication of the webserver which is not a good idea as the http server is used to enter the web interface of the NAS.
Maybe Jocko knows an easy solution, he is more experienced in this stuff than I am but he is not around this week. So you will need to have some patience

It seems to me that web explorer can be used for your expectations but there will need always an identification

Otherwise, you must create a virtual server with a different port, the root folder that you want and specify the port in the url.
