Hello,

I got a Network space v1 and just installed the 5.1.

Great job ! I'm so happy to cut the ropes with Lacie hotline...

I browsed all menus but didn't understand so much in multimedia section.

How can I make my device recognized by my other network devices running Windows Media Player, VLC or whatever ? (as it was with LaCie Software).

It would have been better to install version 8 as it has more options and better menu's
It also contains mediaservers like minidlna besides twonky. Both are Upnp media servers and should be visible on devices as soon as you have installed and started them. But first i would upgrade to version 8 if was you.
