I'm trying to limit the impact of transmission on my system with little power or memory so I'm trying to reduce the number of peers with which it will make connections but when I change the numbers down from 240 (global) and 60 (per torrent), the numbers re-appear quickly after I've changed them in the form.

Is there somewhere else I can change these settings for them to take effect?

Hi PJTanner,

To reduce the use of RAM, you must (or you can):
- set a Limit for the download and upload speeds (ie : upload 10kB/s and download ~ 100kB/s)
- Do not download several torrents at the same time (1 or 2 or even 3 but not beyond)
