I updated my LaCie Network Space Vs1 from 13-0 to 14-0 using the firmware update menu method.

The update lasted:
50 seconds for step1
6:35 minutes for step 2
2:30 minutes for step 3

Next week I will check all the new features.

It's a known issue and you are the second identified user in this case.
