Dear,

What could be the cause of the not functioning of torrentflux trying to start a torrent, error:

messages :
transmissioncli cannot be executed
btclient_transmission_bin : /usr/bin/transmissioncli

The same torrent(s) work in transmission.

Thanx and greetings,

Filip.

thats because transmission has changed the name form the daemon from "transmissioncli" into "transmission-cli"

You need to adapt that in the torrentflux setup

All,

I changed the path in the Admin - serversettings to /usr/bin/transmission-cli instead of /usr/bin/transmissioncli and that seems to work though it is leeching and not downloading yet.
A warning is given though next to the path-box that the executable is not the original one from torrentflux ;)

Greetings!

Filip.

Dear,

Can Transmission and Torrentflux be used both at the same time when Torrentflux uses "transmission-cli"?

Thanks and greetings,

Filip.

Hi Filip

It has been a long time that i used torrenflux
after getting into torrentflux
click "admin" and then click "server"
There you can set server settings
I forgot that you need a special transmissioncli for torrentflux the standard one from transmission doesn't work without some patches. The last compatible one was transmissioncli-175 that is also included in the firmware, specially for torrentflux.
You need to set /usr/bin/transmissioncli-175 as it is indicated in the help menu that you can open before choosing to open the webinterface of torrentflux in the webgui of the firmware (torrentflux-b4rt menu )

Dear fvdw,

thank you for the reply,

i changed the path to /usr/bin/transmissioncli-175, deleted the old leeching not downloading/uploading entries, entered a few new ones - that work in the other Transmission torrent client - but these also just do "leeching".

What could be wrong?

Thanks and greetings,

Filip.

probably there is nothing wrong, did you enable page refresh ?

But why use torrentflux, better use transmission client instead of torrent flux. This alos has a webgui that runs under windows and let you connect to the transmision-daemon from your windows PC
see here for more info viewtopic.php?f=3&t=161

Torrenflux is old and torrent website are changed, maybe the older version of transmission can not connect to each site anymore.

PS be sure that before trying to us transmission client from the webgui that all torrents in torrentflux are stopped, seems that transmissioncli-175 interferes with transmission-daemon. If you don't do that the transmission daemon can not be accessed via the webinterface or remote webgui, you will get ip forbidden error.
