Does this actually work perfectly fine for anyone?
For some reason, the initial sync works for me, after that, i cant get it to sync at all. It doesn't new files being added.

Is there an update for this? Maybe thats needed>

Yes btsync works fine and no update is needed... (even if after releasing 16.1, I plan to build a btsync package with the last free version : 1.4.111)

fvdw and me we use it since 2013 to synchronize our development folders without any issue between our remote hosts :mrgreen:

maybe you should check if you use a read-only or write key on the side where you stored the new files (if you use a read key provided by the other host, the new files won't be sync on the other host)
check also if you don't have a too big time offset between your nas and the other host.

What version do you use on your machines? And where can i get the free version?

I bought Sync 2.0 and thats what i am using on my Mac.
Doesn't work well. I noticed it only syncs down from the NAS and does not sync up from the Mac to the NAS.

Very weird really.

I use version 1.2 and 1.4.111.
You can download the last free version here : viewtopic.php?f=9&t=2142&p=17860#p17860.

Please to note you can not downgrade from version 2. So you need to uninstall it fully.

Note: It is a shame that you need to buy license only valid for one year I can understand you pay for development but as btsync requires no infrastructure to run (it uses only Internet and users resources), you should pay only once! :fists

btsync 2.0 can work with old version. I tested it.

How do you do the sharing folder ?

I downgraded to 1.4.111 and somewhat of the same issue.
Though my 2 MacBook syncs fine, but for some reason i cant see the new files in the NAS folder. even tried FTPing into the server, cant see it. But BT Sync says it uploaded the file to the NAS server which is weird. The size is also right on the NAS server. Could it be permissions?

EDIT.
I SSHed into the directory and couldn't see it either, definitely not the permission as it doesn't exist there but for some reason my other MacBook gets the update but not the NAS

* To help you I need to understand your configuration, can you confirm these points :
- on your 2 Mac you have version 1.4.111 and on the NAS version 1.2.82
- between your 2 Mac btsync runs fine (first sync and when there is a new file)
- on your NAS the first sync still works and fails only when there are new files on the MAC side (you wrote this in a first post)

* Do you check the system datetime between the NAS and MAC?

The 2 first dates must be the same and the last is the UTC datetime. The two first dates should be the same than the MAC datetime.

* what folder do you select on the nas to synchronize with the MAC ? (I hope not the btsync share ;) )

So i have to create the key on the MacBook and not the NAS?
I created the key from the NAS version which i thought would be the Master tho i work on the MacBook Copy to sync....

So you don't have an issue with the date time as on your NAS the local system datetime was 8:40 and also on your MacBook.

You have just an issue with apache server that uses UTC datetime. It is a known bug after upgrading the firmware but it is unrelated with your problem. To fix it just change the timezone in the main setup menu and after submitting select again your previous timezone.

Please to note that there is no master/slave relation between hosts with btsync. All hosts are handled on the same level (it is a p2p network)

if you want to copy the secret key from the nas to the mac book, yo need to do :
- follow the guide here (viewtopic.php?f=4&t=2092&start=10#p18316)
- but at the step "2/ copy the wanted key"
* instead of copying the key and pasting it to the folder handled by btsync on the nas,
* you must click on the button "update key ..."
* and paste the secret key get from the nas

Ok, so i set the correct password for PHP.

Deleted the BT Sync Folder on NAS (app)
Deleted the BT Sync Folder on MacBook (app)
Deleted everything on the NAS.
Recreated the folder on NAS
Created the Sync Folder in BT Sync on my MacBook (app)
Added the Key to the BT Sync on the NAS (app)
It says "Synced" but there is nothing in the NAS folder.
