Any chance we can get GCC added to the firmware so we can compile the missing dependencies ourselves?

I'm also very interested in this! I've been using Sickbeard for a long time and I'm highly dependent on it, but it's slowly degrading as it's not being maintained

Anyhow I think it will be a good thing to include ssl support with the python addon

We made some progresses to implement sickrage on fvdw-sl firmware.

First killuabr's issues come from :
- He uses the DNS server of his ISP and so piratebay urls are blocked by the ISP. In this case you should use opendns server with the nas iface settings (lan setup menu)
- our current python version uses a too old ssl library and any https url is broken.

Currently we succeed to run sickrage with nzbget and transmission but we need to do more checks for sabnzbd server :

To get a nice implement in fvdw-sl, we need to made several changes on fvdw-sl web-interface. So the new feature will be available only in 2 months (patch for 17.0)
