reported bugs in fvdw-sl-10-0

Postby fvdw » Wed Nov 02, 2011 8:44 pm

When having opened the web interfaces of the media servers like twonky and firefl, or the torrent clients transmission and torrent flux, clicking another menu command of NAS web interface seems to have no effect and won't open the corresponding menu.

Our fault, we implemented some security measures in this release that will be of use in future release and when opening web pages outside the LAN. This a result of one of those measures.
It will be fixed in the next release.

There are workarounds:
(1) press F5, this will reload the main page of the webinterface and you can continue normally
(2) or use the "previous page" button of your browser to go back to the page before entering the webinterface of the media server.

Re: reported bugs in fvdw-sl-10-0 : in backup Menu

Postby Jocko » Sun Nov 06, 2011 11:14 am

A potentially critical bug, comes to be identified in the Backup menu:

- Browsing the folders tree fails if a folder name contains non-ASCII characters (éèêñàô. ...)
- If source or destination folders also contain these characters, the backup can also be done in a system folder and overwrite the folder content.

So while waiting for a patch, you must only back up with ASCII foldernames : A-Za-z0-9.

Transmission daemon stopping after several minutes of downloading
This was reported by a spd8020 user, I checked on my spd8020 and found indeed this problem
We will test it on the nwsp2 as well. If it here also fails after several minutes we will roll back to transmission 2.22 in next release

edit if someone finds same problem on nwsp1, isp1 or nwsp2 please report in the appoiate forum. On this moment I only got fedback on this issue from sp8020 users
