I'm trying to enable https but when I do I get the following filled out on the
TLS/SSL certificate settings

Domain name (HTTPS)
*
Information
*
Other Information
Town
State /Land
Country (2 char)
*
E-Mail

Validity Nov 16 12:02:20 2011 GMT - Nov 15 12:02:20 2013 GMT

As you can see the Validity date is off.
Its a defined date that I dont seem to be able to change.

Any ideas?

For reference the time & date is set correcty (using internet ntp server)

actually was just trying to set the time to manual rather than ntp and I got the following message

Current System Status: could not update field :__FILE__, hwclock -w -u, err= 1

If I remember well it is a default value. So do you try to set fully a certificate ? Validity period is set when you save your custom certificate for two years.

So that means that there is an issue with rpi kernel. As I don't have one, you must wait Fvdw for more details

the raspberry doesn't has a hardware clock on board. thats why you can not use the hwclock command
You need to set (and read) time using the "date" command
