Help for getting a working installation

I've tried to install fvdw-sl in my old Lacie 5Big Network (version 1), but cannot get to the end of it.
I've removed 4 disks (only number one is left).
I run everything, it boots, the script runs till completion, but after reboot I cannot connect to any IP address in the range 192.168.0.* and the scanning doesn't find the NAS.

Any suggestion?

Building a new DOS disklabel. Changes will remain in memory only,
until you decide to write them. After that the previous content
won't be recoverable.
The number of cylinders for this disk is set to 60801.
There is nothing wrong with that, but this is larger than 1024,
and could in certain setups cause problems with:
1) software that runs at boot time (e.g., old versions of LILO)
2) booting and partitioning software from other OSs
(e.g., DOS FDISK, OS/2 FDISK)
