I've been using fvdw for some weeks on my 5big1, but i have some problems. My nas keeps rebooting randomly. Where can i find some logs files that could help me find the reason?

this might happen if it is overheating, did you activate the temp guard ?
The fan should start when temp is 45 degree below the threshold, it will start slow and increase speed when temperature come close to the threshold. If then fan doesn't start or isn't able to keepn the temperature below the temperature set by the temp guard then this temp guard takes action.
If it reaches the max temperature it tries to set it to standby and waiting until temp is below threshold. This function I never tested on a 5big1 maybe the there is a bug for this device. The system logs are erased during a reboot so they will not learn us a lot. Better you have a look at the disk settings menu and see if temp guard is enabled and disk is reaching max temp fast and causes a reboot, you need to refresh the page to get new readings.

No, Temperature Guard Hard Disk is disable. I'm gonna try and enable it to see if it helps.

Its not temperature related. It just rebooted twice and temperature was around 35 degrees.

This time i noticed that before nas reboots theres a noice that seems disk spining, but i'm not reading or writing anything.

there is no way that the firmware can cause a reboot other then what I discribed. In case of of a software error it just would hang and wait for until someone reboots it by switching power off and on.

The only thing I can think of that you may have power supply, if power is interupted then also the nas will reboot.

Maybe there's something wrong with the readings? I've been monitoring it for the past hour and its always 41 degress. Not even a degree up or down. I even copied a 2 GB file into one of the disks and always same exact temperature.

Indeed it was the power supply. I got a new one and that problem was solved, but now i got a new problem.

When doing large transfers nfs server stops responding.
