Hi taetae,

Glad to heard this. :-D

I assume that it is the new kernel as on software side we changed nothing with the samba server.

To install the lacie firmware or ours you only need at least one sata disk and maximum 5. The system disk should be smaller then 2 TB as the bootloader only support ms-dos table which means max disk size of 2 TB. The other disk can be bigger in case I use our firmware as the kernel supports bigger disks

if you wan to to install lacie firmware then I can help you as I do not have the required files. To install fvdw-sl we can help you, be aware that our firmware doesn't support raid on this moment. It will be added in on of the release in future

Hi fvdw,
I am interested in your firmware. Is it Includes RAID5?
Thanks!

Hi gvideo,

Yes with fvdw-sl you can manage a raid5 for your data.

But we don't have yet include menu in the web interface and so you must build the raid with linux command. There is an howto available here:http://plugout.net/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=2006

Caution before making the raid5, please wait because fvdw-sl console set a bad ms-dos partition table on the system disk if you have an AF disk (Advanced Format).

If you install our firmware, I will give commands to correct the data partition of the system disk.
