Usage: mount -V                 : print version
mount -h                 : print this help
       mount                    : list mounted filesystems
mount -l                 : idem, including volume labels
So far the informational part. Next the mounting.
The command is `mount [-t fstype] something somewhere'.
Details found in /etc/fstab may be omitted.
       mount -a [-t|-O] ...     : mount all stuff from /etc/fstab
mount device             : mount device at the known place
mount directory          : mount known device here
mount -t type dev dir    : ordinary mount command
Note that one does not really mount a device, one mounts
a filesystem (of the given type) found on the device.
One can also mount an already visible directory tree elsewhere:
       mount --bind olddir newdir
or move a subtree:
       mount --move olddir newdir
One can change the type of mount containing the directory dir:
       mount --make-shared dir
       mount --make-slave dir
       mount --make-private dir
       mount --make-unbindable dir
One can change the type of all the mounts in a mount subtree
containing the directory dir:
       mount --make-rshared dir
       mount --make-rslave dir
       mount --make-rprivate dir
       mount --make-runbindable dir
A device can be given by name, say /dev/hda1 or /dev/cdrom,
or by label, using  -L label  or by uuid, using  -U uuid .
Other options: [-nfFrsvw] [-o options] [-p passwdfd].
For many more details, say  man 8 mount .

Re: lacie 5 big network v.1 please support for fvdw

Postby fvdw » Tue Dec 31, 2013 11:50 am

finally

it seems that mv_or driver is disabled now, don't know if that is a problem. I also need to recompile the moudles, now samba and so will not work as the cifs module is not loaded.

This will not be this afternoon as I need to go out with the family. But maybe end of the afternoon I still have some time

ps are the g762 drivers inputs visible in /sys ?

Usage: mount -V                 : print version
mount -h                 : print this help
       mount                    : list mounted filesystems
mount -l                 : idem, including volume labels
So far the informational part. Next the mounting.
The command is `mount [-t fstype] something somewhere'.
Details found in /etc/fstab may be omitted.
       mount -a [-t|-O] ...     : mount all stuff from /etc/fstab
mount device             : mount device at the known place
mount directory          : mount known device here
mount -t type dev dir    : ordinary mount command
Note that one does not really mount a device, one mounts
a filesystem (of the given type) found on the device.
One can also mount an already visible directory tree elsewhere:
       mount --bind olddir newdir
or move a subtree:
       mount --move olddir newdir
One can change the type of mount containing the directory dir:
       mount --make-shared dir
       mount --make-slave dir
       mount --make-private dir
       mount --make-unbindable dir
One can change the type of all the mounts in a mount subtree
containing the directory dir:
       mount --make-rshared dir
       mount --make-rslave dir
       mount --make-rprivate dir
       mount --make-runbindable dir
A device can be given by name, say /dev/hda1 or /dev/cdrom,
or by label, using  -L label  or by uuid, using  -U uuid .
Other options: [-nfFrsvw] [-o options] [-p passwdfd].
For many more details, say  man 8 mount .

(both kernel before this new)
numerous tests that I'm doing, I have noticed that copying files on the NAS is always successful .. while if I want to withdraw from the nas, files or multiple files, the size of 600mb to 3gb etc, I drop the connection and very often I get the message unable to copy files to the PC (ABORT RETRY IGNORE) until in some cases not at all, and then the copy I have to reboot the nas.

From what can be the problem? state that does not appear on the serial console error on these issues

Re: lacie 5 big network v.1 please support for fvdw

Postby fvdw » Wed Jan 01, 2014 11:51 am

I see that that you still miss some 3.9.5 modules in the serial output
I will sent these today

about the 0x8007003B.error

Think this is a problem of your windows PC as it is a network communication fault
I don't know if it is a solution but you can check the settings of your network adapter
if these are present
Large Send offload(IPv4)
Large Send offload v2 (IPv4)
Large Send offload-offload v2 (IPv6)

And if these are activate disable them (clear the checkbox).
This also will improve transfer speeds

Usage: mount -V                 : print version
mount -h                 : print this help
       mount                    : list mounted filesystems
mount -l                 : idem, including volume labels
So far the informational part. Next the mounting.
The command is `mount [-t fstype] something somewhere'.
Details found in /etc/fstab may be omitted.
       mount -a [-t|-O] ...     : mount all stuff from /etc/fstab
mount device             : mount device at the known place
mount directory          : mount known device here
mount -t type dev dir    : ordinary mount command
Note that one does not really mount a device, one mounts
a filesystem (of the given type) found on the device.
One can also mount an already visible directory tree elsewhere:
       mount --bind olddir newdir
or move a subtree:
       mount --move olddir newdir
One can change the type of mount containing the directory dir:
       mount --make-shared dir
       mount --make-slave dir
       mount --make-private dir
       mount --make-unbindable dir
One can change the type of all the mounts in a mount subtree
containing the directory dir:
       mount --make-rshared dir
       mount --make-rslave dir
       mount --make-rprivate dir
       mount --make-runbindable dir
A device can be given by name, say /dev/hda1 or /dev/cdrom,
or by label, using  -L label  or by uuid, using  -U uuid .
Other options: [-nfFrsvw] [-o options] [-p passwdfd].
For many more details, say  man 8 mount .
