Soon it will be possible to install the fvdw-sl firmware on the Lacie networkspace 2 by using ms-windows and without removing the hard disk. So no need to run Linux on your PC or removing the hard disk.
This is no joke.. :-D (see development forum)

10 april 2013 fvdw-sl-console is released, go to the download forum to get it.

Currently only nwsp2 classic and Lite are supported to instal fvdw-sl firmware using this console. Other nas devices will follow
