Differences if you want to run the 2big1 installer script instead of the nwsp2 installer:

Instructions installing fvdw-sl firmware:
(0) Read the detailed help first (see help menu)
(1) Switch off your NAS
(2) Answer the questions in the dialog boxes that pop up.
(3) Select the standlone kernel file (UIMAGE) to be loaded. (UIMAGE-26394-5BIG1-22-standalone)
(4) Start your NAS after the command window pops up telling you it waits for U-boot.
(5) Wait until the kernel is loaded and the command window closes automatic.
(6) Wait 8 seconds until telnet client will start.
(7) Log in using the telnet client with username: root and password: giveit2me
(8) Upload installer by entering in telnet client:
tftp -r fvdw-2big1-installer.sh -l fvdw-2big1-installer -g ip-pc
(Replace ip-pc by the actual ip address of your PC, it is mentioned in the main window)
(9) Make it executable by entering: chmod 755 fvdw-2big1-installer
(10)start the installer by entering: /fvdw-2big1-installer ip-pc
(replace ip-pc by ip address of your pc
(11) Answer the questions in the dialog boxes
(12) When install is succesful reboot the NAS by entering: reboot -f
or by pressing shortly the power button
(13) Close all windows related to fvdw-sl-console
(14) Open web interface of the NAS by entering ip of NAS in browser
username : admin-nas password: admin

Hi all!

first say sorry, my english is very bad.... :cry:

second: i have a lacie 2big (1T) the two hd's are damaged, i try to install two new hd's but don't work, try to download iso file to lacie webpage but i can't find it. now i see this firmware but i don't be sure how make a manual installation, can you tell me or link a howto page.

Be careful, for helping with lacie firmware, you must go to the forum http://forum.nas-central.org/viewforum.php?f=156.

Instructions installing posted previously, have to be used only for fvdw-sl firmware.

hi, i try to use the assistant but the 2big dont run (like a death), a lacie technician tell me about use a acronis or ghost image from other lacie to restore the raid and the OS :hairpull , i lose all data (backup image too) :(
