Hello,

Is there a solution to access my CloudBox white case from outside my LAN (from the WAN) ?

Thanks

Hi

Yes you can do that easily by opening the port(s) used by the server on your isp box (port forwarding).

As your transfer will be visible on the NET, you have to open ports only for the servers which encrypt its exchange. So, for example, do not open the port of the samba server (138,139,445) or FTP server, or web server over http protocol (80)
Currently you may use webdav over https protocol (443), web-explorer over https protocol(443), ftps/ftpes servers (port according your ftp settings)

In my opinion webdav is the easiest way and you can use your share as a local resource on remote computers. So first step is to enable https protocol on the web server (create its own certificate), set and open the port 443 (note: this will allow to get a remote access on web-explorer or the fw web-interface. So you must change at least the default password). Make your custom settings for webdav server.
Now the following steps are on the remote side : https://help.dreamhost.com/hc/en-us/articles/216473357-Accessing-WebDAV-with-Windows of course do not use http protocol with the url. so enter an url like : "https://yourPublicIp/sharename" YourPublicIP is the WAN IP of your ISP Box.

Additional information :
- You may use a DDNS instead of your Public IP, if the IP changes regularly (your ISP box should provide a free DDNS service)
- As you use a self-sign certificate for your web server, you should install our custom certificate authority on your remote host to avoid some issues (see the help page of the setup menu)
