Is it possible to install docker or docker compose on Cloudbox?
Thanks for your time

I had a quick look

There are precompiled versions of docker for armel cpu, the one used in cloudbox
Version 18.09.9 seems to run if proper addons are installed the more recent versions 19.03.9 and 20.10.9 doesn't run, the daemon exits with illegal instruction.
Need to look in more detail if problem with newer version can be solved however also for version 18.09.9 there is some need for adaptions of the firmware but in principle it seems to be possible. Will have a more detailed look later

Running docker on the cloudbox seems to be a no go. The cloudbox has an arm5 processor and the precompiled armel binaries seems to be for arm7. I did my initial test on a seagate personal cloud that has an arm7 cpu.
I looked if compiling from source is a possibility but that needs several other packages and a running docker configuration. That would mean cross compiling will be required. However currently I do not have to much time to spend on figuring it out but I will put it on my to do list as a new challenge. Sorry to keep you waiting
