How to replace hard disk in Lacie Cloudbox

My 3TB Barracuda in my cloudbox is broken. I want to replace it with a 3TB WD disk.

I've been searching the forum for over an hour but I can nowhere find a download or steps how to proceed. What am I missing?

Suggest to use the fvdw-sl console, see here

Thanks!

I'm in now but I'm getting this error: "fdisk can't open dev/sda"

fdisk -l gives
Code: Select all
fdisk: can't open '/dev/sda': No such device or address
diskid=none

There was an error detecting device sda, this device is required to install firmware.
Installer will exit
root@fvdw-sta-kirkwood:/ # fdisk -l

Disk /dev/mtdblock0: 0 MB, 512000 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 0 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes

Disk /dev/mtdblock0 doesn't contain a valid partition table

Disk /dev/mtdblock1: 0 MB, 4096 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 0 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes

Disk /dev/mtdblock1 doesn't contain a valid partition table

Seems like this disk is broken.

Using a new disk and it works, awesome!

Thank you very much @fvdw! Made a small donation as a thank you.

Now trying to figure out how to install the addons.

FYI, I did a firmware upgrade and it reverts the admin's username (but not the password) to admin-nas.
