I bough a NAS from another computer, the old IP is 192.168.1.245

But my new home has the 192.168.0.X IP

So are different and i cant open the NAS with fvdw because the IP not match in my range.

How can i acces?

Even fvdw software does not detect the NAS but m router detects it with Static IP

Hi

I think the easiest way is to create temporary a subnet 168.192.1.0/24

So check if your laptop uses a dynamic IP and go to the web-interface of your router. There you have to change the subnet (192.168.1.0/24)

Connect your NAS to the router and like your laptop and the nas is now on the same subnet, you should be able to connect to its web-interface. Then change the IP option for using a dynamic IP

If it is ok restore the router config

updating firmware can't be done using fvdw-sl-console but using webinterface of the firmware.
So why dou you use the console ?

ps To avoid connection issues if you use the fvdw-sl-console leave everything default, and use a wired connection between pc and router. Disable all network cards on the pc excluding the one used for wired connection
