Hi,

been struggling with my Lacie CloudBox for a loooong time. Finally found this forum, thank you! I´ve read most of the threads here regarding about this issue and followed the instructions here Accessing my cloudbox-slow blinking blue light. Run into a small problem tho

when I upload UIMAGE-3142-KIRKWOOD-171-standalone and try to run mdadm

root@fvdw-sta-kirkwood:/ # tftp -r mdadm -l /bin/mdadm -g 192.168.1.19
tftp: server error: (1) File not found
root@fvdw-sta-kirkwood:/ #

what am I missing here?

thanks!

Hi

Indeed with the last fvdw-sl console package, it is not the right way to get some additional binaries :

You need no longer to upload them manually one by one (via tftp command and chmod command) but use a new option with fvdw-programs menu :
* run on the telnet window the command: fvdw-sl-programs
(then a menu will appear)
* select "Upload and extract glibc mini and tools"

Thanks! Got to this the point of creating FTP server but couldn´t extract the archive for some reason...

root@fvdw-sta-kirkwood:/ # tftp -r vsftpd-303-standalone-4jun16.tar -l vsftpd-303-standalone-3jun16.tar -g 192.168.1.19
vsftpd-303-standalon 100% |**********************************************************************************| 1403k 0:00:00 ETA
root@fvdw-sta-kirkwood:/ # tar -xvf vsftpd-303-standalone-4jun16.tar
tar: can't open 'vsftpd-303-standalone-4jun16.tar': No such file or directory

No need to do this step..

vsftpd is already uploaded by the previous step. You referred to a too old topic

Why do you use the port 23 which is in use with telnet. You must use the regular FTP command port: 21 to connect to vsftp server
