Hi, 3TB's internal hard drive to my Lacie Cloudbox broke ...
I bought the same one and I tried to restore the OS of the NAS with Lacie Network Assistant, but I couldn't.
A Lacie Support technician told me that I need to install the operating system via Linux flashing it, but I don't have the original firmware and I don't even know how to do it ...
Can someone help me? :please
Thanks

Forget the Lacie firmware. If Lacie doesn't offer it for download, you should consider this firmware made by fvdw & Jocko.
This it the tool to initialize the new HDD.
viewtopic.php?f=7&t=3086You should put a little donation first, then you'll get in favor of all support and download.
It's worth it !

Hi, I just made a donation with Paypal.
I have installed the firmware version fvdw-sl 18-1 and I would like to upgrade to fvdw-sl 18-2 but the dashboard fails because I miss package 203...
Then I can't set the Samba version 4.9.4 (my TV SONY OLED KD-65AF8 does not recognize the NAS with native Samba version 3.0.37).
Can you solve me the problem by enabling the download and the installation of add ons, please?
Thanks
Regards

Hi, although I'm a donor user I can't do the firmware update via dashboard (message is: Failed to download the upgrade files list - Error 203).
Similarly I can't set the Samba version 4.9.4 because the dashboard fails the upgrade (message is: Can not retrieve the package 203).
How can I solve problems? :thinking
Can you help me? :please
Thanks
Regards

Hi josgro
It is the 2d time: It is useless and boring to post the same message on several forums. Here it is enough. :corner
And see your pm. I sent one yesterday

Hi
:disapprove
Please to install the patch before making new upgrade attempts !
Note: why we should release patches if the users do not install them

Thanks for the help, but unfortunately I still need you ... :please
I installed the patch and updated the firmware to version 18.2 but now I can only log in as a user (id: josgro psw: cxxxxxxx) and I can't make any changes
(as written in the help menu of the web interface:
"This screen displays system information only, no field can be changed here.
To make changes to the corresponding menus if you are logged as admin").
The NAS no longer recognizes the administrator profile I had set
(id: jos psw: cxxxxx) and not even the default one (id: admin-nas pwd: admin) ...
Now how do I get into the admin dashboard? :hammerhead
Help me, please!!!
:please

After upgrading the admin login is reset so the current credentials should be (login: admin-nas pwd: cxxxxxxx)
We will change this behaviour on next version to avoid such confusion
Note: you should not put in your message the credentials for the firmware web-interface. As soon as you open the port 80 (or 443 if you use https protocol), anybody can use them to connect to your NAS

Hi josgro
Please to read fully the post !
Jocko wrote:Notes:
- The attached patch provides fixes for all these known bugs
- You do not need to restart the nas or reload the web-interface after installing the patch
- After installing on version 18.0 or 18.1 and upgrading to version 18.2, you will need to install again the patch
So you have to install again the patch on your current version 18.2 :whistle
