Cloudbox with crashed disk | Replace disk

Postby goodhome » Fri Mar 30, 2018 6:09 pm

Hello,

I need the help from the forum...for setup from scratch "lacie system cloudbox".
I have HDD whith 2TB (Hitachi HDD) formatted in NTSF format.

After a search in the forum, I know the first step is to create 8 partitions on the new disk, but how do I do this?
I installed Ubuntu on windows 10 (bash :)) but I do not know how to access the disk that I want to create the partitions (for install "cloud system").

Note:
Now have 2 HDD installed on PC (SO Windows), I just want to access the Hitachi disk for create the partitions.

Installing lacie firmware on the cloudbox is not possible if you don't have the original partition images. We don't have those.
Creating the right partitiin table is relative easy but without de software images that must be written to these partitions it is a useless action

Why do you want to use lacie firmware?

@goodhome
If you don't succeed with the original Lacie firmware you have an excellent alternative firmware available in the download area.

@wd9895

My problem now is not where to get the firmware, but how to install it.
My knowledge in Linux is almost null or nonexistent.

If anyone can help ... I appreciate it :)
