Rescuing My Cloudbox

My Cloudbox is not responding...not even to the on/off button. When the power is inserted, all I get is blinking blue light. It doesn't connect to the network despite the router assigning an IP address. I am so ticked-off with LaCie's support I wish I didn't buy the device. I joined the General NAS-Central forum, and member, FVDW, directed me to here.
How do I obtain the fvdw-sl console? I would like to reformat the hard drive and do away with LaCie's software if possible. I don't need to restore or capture any data as I had a backup of the Cloudbox. If I remove the hard drive and insert it into a USB-3 enclosure, it doesn't mount on desktop. Seagate said that there's a boot track (special LaCie software) on the hard drive preventing that action. I am more a Mac person; however, I do run Windows 7 over Parallels.

So, I downloaded the four files; however, it seems that they were problems upon expansion...am I missing something? Folders two and three were empty...had the empty server folder and folder four had what seems the firmware. I haven't installed anything see the response I got with Stuffit. I expanded the files on a Mac.

Put all rar files in one directory an extract one using winrar program, then automatically all four will be unpacked. I have no idea how to extract them on Mac but it has no use as the console only runs under windows. It seems the program I used on your mac to extract the archives is not doing in the right way. If you only extract one rar file you get what you describe.

When you say one directory, do you mean one folder? I am not Windows savvy; so, I use Mac since I also have Parallels virtual environment to which Windows 7 is installed. I will look for Winrar and install it...hope that works.

yes that is what I mean
ps I don't know if the console will work in the virtual environment, it will need access to the network card...

Ran into more problems...first was launching the fvdw-sl console...it requested a password, and it didn't accept giveit2me. Frustrated, I attempted to reset the Cloudbox and it seems that something worked as the blue light stop blinking. However, I discovered a new issue...the Ethernet port had a red light on the right side...therefore, my Mikrotik will not assign it an IP address...so, the fvdw-sl console assistant can't find it either.
The device not responding to the on/off button seems to suggest that the circuit board has a major problem despite getting power when the power adapter inserted. The drive doesn't appear to spin up or an illusion that it does. Sadly, it truly seems that the Cloudbox died after lasting a year and a half. I totally dismantled the device and now looking for a replacement board to install in the enclosure.

Hi Nollinas,
:doh please to read more carefully the posts:
Installation.
To install it download the 4 rar files of the package of your choice and extract them in a directory of your choice where you want to install the fvdw-sl-console on your windows pc.
To start the program double click on the file with name "fvdw-sl-console.exe".
It will ask for password, for this version it is the number "33305"
The password protection is useful as with the program someone can easily erase all the data on you nas.

Okay, I used the password you supplied and the fvdw-sl-console recognized the nas (Cloudbox) on my network...great as well as promising (although my Mikrotik had no knowledge of it in the DHCP server lease). I had deleted the instruction so I had to just now download again to continue. By the way, the installation had been done as you state above...just no password had been found in the read me instructions.
If all goes well with the reformatting and the installation of your program instead of Lacie's network assistant, what will I use to access the cloudbox on my Mac? My entire system is Mac based.
