Dear friend,
I saw on some instructions for connecting into NAS via console. I have clear HDD (formated as NTFS), when I set up an IP address for DHCP as static for LaCie, blue diode still blinking and no IP address has been assigned.

Do I need to prepare my HDD as ext4 for I can have NTFS file system.

Thank you very much for your time and help
Tomas

Hi ThoH2,

:scratch If you use an empty HDD, there is no firmware and then your cloudbox can not set an IP address.

If you use the install script you have nothing to do (the script set a new partition table with the right file systems)

Dear Jacko,
thank you very much for your time. May you help me with instalation of the firmware? I am sorry, because I do not have an experience with that.

You should be able to do without helping.

Read fully this first install guide : download/file.php?id=3530
and also the help firmware install of the fvdw-sl console viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1271#p7904

Of course If you don't understand some points, we are here to get more details.
