Hi nonstick,

With twonky, it is a known issue:http://plugout.net/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=1743&hilit=notify+twonky&start=10 Twonky doesn't use the usual settings and to fix it we should patch the twonky source (and of course, we don't have).

About minidlna, I don't remember if notify support works. Do you enable the Notify option in the minidlna confiuration ?

Stop minidlna should be useless, do a rescan is enough if notify support does not work.

I checked the minidlna feature and notify support works fine :thumbup (when I copy or delete some media files, my client sees instantly all changes.

So I assume that either you make changes in a location not scanned by minidlna or you have many files/folder in the mindlna database (and some changes can take times).

Then you should control what are the folders selected (and for what media) in your minidlna configuration.
