Hi,

I'm a noob to this forum, I have bought recently the Lacie Cloudbox 3TB, I have put a static IP 192.168.1.97 and enabled only sFTP & Streaming options via the Lacie Dashboard.

But when trying to install the fvdw firmware always get stuck at the Telnet window with a timeout.

Yes I'm using a Windows Laptop on ethernet connection, fvdw-sl-console (read the guide) and unblocked all Firewall requests but still no joy.

I choose Standalone Kernel and pick UIMAGE-395-NWSP2CL-179-standalone.

The only thing that might be stopping the install is the recent update (yes I know it was on Auto Update, doh!)

So this firmware is installed
Code: Select all
System 2.6.8.4
Improvement
[System]

Bash Shellrock : CVE-2014-6271 & CVE-2014-7169
Upnp IGD request can crash a router
Update Openssl to "i" version

Anyone have any idea ?

Thanks in advance

if you use a wireless connection between laptop and LAN then installation might fail. But it seems you get the standalone kernel uploaded.
It seems the standalone kernel might fail in case it doesn't find a dhcp server on the LAN, be sure that your LAN has a dhcp server active. You could check if the cloudbox is detectable on the LAN by doing an ip scan, furthermore sometimes the waiting time of th standalone kernel is too short. You can try to connect manually, use the connect button in the telnet client.
