Hardware clock resets when NAS is off overnight
(LaCie-CloudBox 2TB - fvdw-sl 15.3)
Good day.
When the NAS is off overnight, the hardware clock resets itself to January 20th, 2011, at approximately 1:41 A.M.
The NAS is connected to an internal network with no Internet access. However, its NTP settings point to a NTP server on the LAN.
As long as the NAS is on (including overnight), it keeps very accurate time. I also regularly check the hardware clock time and it is accurate as well.
Since (I don't believe) this has anything to do with the firmware, I'm wondering if this is typical or did I, perhaps, purchase a defective unit.
Any ideas?
Thank you.
