Partition images for Cloudbox?

Could someone extract partition images from the Cloudbox? Mine's hard drive failed and I bought a new one. It's even exactly the same model as the broken one. Now I would need to reinstall the OS in linux or so. I was hoping it could be done like in this article: http://lacie.nas-central.org/wiki/Insta ... space_2%29

Lacie Network assistant finds my device at first but then after a while gives an error that it's not found.

Any input?

Hi anpulli

I saw that you find this topic http://forum.nas-central.org/viewtopic.php?f=277&t=10659

And I assume that you read Mijzelf's post.

So I am not sure that you can do what you want :whistle

Yes I know that this is a difficult task. If not even impossible. I was just wondering that maybe there would've been some developement on the issue.

I would've used the fvdw firmware but it seems the installer needs to know the device's IP address. And since my Cloudbox won't boot up it will not request an address. I can see it's MAC address on my routers list though so it is somewhat alive. :)

Can I somehow install fvdw via image files or so?

I ran into a similar problem when installing the fvdw software after having some issues with my cloudbox. Then I found out that I can assign a specific IP address to the cloudbox Mac address in my router settings. After having done that, the installer was able to access the cloudbox and install the software.

You give that a try.

That did it! How stupid from me to not even consider something so simple..

Fvdw is now installed. Just waiting for a response from Lacie.

Thank you!
