No need now to do the step 2 : it is a known issue.

So you need to restore the default language (English).

In putty do exactly this command to restore the English Language:
Code: Select all
 sed -rie 's#(.*)<language>.*</language>#\1<language>en</language>#g' /rw_fs/etc/nas_conf_db.xml
(Check twice the line before submitting it)

Then refresh the browser, the web-interface should work again.[/code]

After restoring the language, you should be able to install the patch available here : viewtopic.php?f=7&t=2033#p16933

what do you mean with " refresh the web-interface"
if you use Firefox do "F5" and with IE: select "refresh" in mouse contextual menu (right click) when the mouse is over the main frame (header or menu area)

Do you know Putty or Winscp.

If you don't use yet Putty, you can install directly Winscp on your laptop which will install also Putty.
http://winscp.net

In Winscp, create a new session: protocol: scp; host: your nas name; port: 22; login: root and password: giveit2me (if you don't change it in the SSH menu)

After opening your new session, search in the main tools bar the button "open a session in Putty", this will open a Putty window and connect you to the NAS.

Then copy my command line and paste it in Putty (just do a right click)
