Fail: Can not retrieve the package (-99)

Hi,
I want to upgrade my my lacie cloudbox samba version and I get the following error "Fail: can not retrieve the package (-99))"
I have contributed early september (and received confirmation that i'm on the donators group a few days later)

Could you help me understand what is wrong ?

Hi

Indeed there is something wrong with your nas/settings. I checked our server log and I found your attempts on yesterday and today (just before changing your password).

And at each time I did not find the download request after sending the login request. I also notice the login response size is not right and bigger than the regular one (9k instead of 8k) that would mean the board claims the credentials are wrong.
This is confirmed by the error code, the value -99 means the plugout user session is not set (where as -98 means the credentials are not yet set)

So can you do

echo $?

if the returned value is not equal than 0 then that means you have an error on the used credentials. So try again after updating them (https://plugout.net/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=2952)

Applogies for not replying earlier.

In the meantime I've updated the firmware to version 18.2 (including the additional august patch)

I reattemped the samba upgrade but I receive the same error code .
"can not retrieve the package (-99)"

I performed the code you requested and received the following output.
"root@MyNAS:/ # plugout check
root@MyNAS:/ # echo $?
0
root@MyNAS:/ # "

Any thoughts on what I can attempt next ?

According to some traces on our web server, I am not sure you have really installed the right patch for version 18.2. (this one available here: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=3149#p35893
