Can one install CardDav and CalDav

Hi

I was wondering if it is possible to install CardDav and CalDav (eg Baikal) as I am trying to keep Laptop (Win 7 + Outlook), android phone and Office computer all synced without giving ALL my data to google or anybody else I don't trust.

And if it IS possible , general hints in where I should look would be great. :-D

I was confused about the comments regarding OwnCloud by Jocko

Please note that the owncloud web interface use many resources and its loading take time...

So use it only for setting your shared data, user accounts, etc. and use the owncloud program on your PC to manage data.

Having never used OwnCloud yet, is it only a speed issue with regard to the Web interface but everything else works fast enough? I'm only interested in CalDav and CardDav syncing and possibly some family photo albums to let Grandparents etc have access to, so nothing too much.

Yes we know these features and already looked at this point.

It seems that we use a too recent apache version (2.4) : we found only modules for version 2.2.
But maybe it's probably better to pick a specialized Cal/CardDAV server.

Be careful piashaw, we already made an addon for owncloud.

(and you can not do yourself because you need some php modules). So look at here viewtopic.php?f=15&t=1941

I didn't realise it was so complex.

Do you therefore think that attempting to port Baikal Server would be possible or not worth trying? I'm a programming tinkerer, no specialist. :)
