Hello again,

When putting my 2big network 2 to "sleep" with the "NAS Standby WOL" option on GUI, the fan keeps working 100%.

So, all lights go off (except for the Ethernet port); and the NAS IP becomes unresponsive; all as expected. But the fan is always working, never stops. Tried waiting 5-10 minutes.

Sending magic packet awakes it, which is good :) And after boot, during normal operation, the fan keeps idle.

What can the problem be?

I need to have a short talking with fvdw how to fix it

Temporarily for testing, if the trick still stops the fan if it is spinning up.

So :
- download the tarball (use the link sent by pm)
- store it in a share (I assume fvdw)
- from a shell window, run the tar command

tar -xf /direct-usb/fvdw/fvdw-sl-18-2-fan-wol-fix-29jan2020.tgz -C /etc/init.d

Then check if the fan is stopped on NAS Standby WOLl action

Please to note it is a temporary fix (go back as soon as you upgrade the fw or reinstall it). We need yet to valid the best way to fix the issue

is it a Lacie 2Big Network specific bug or it's common to most platforms (I have a CloudBox White casing) ?
