Hi Admin,

I have recently donated. As a new member, and have been exploring the forum to locate the firmware, but have not been successful in finding it. Could you please guide me on where to find the software?
I have a LaCie 5Big Pro with 2 network ports but without a power button at the back. I recently bought it and tried using OpenMediaVault, which worked initially but failed after I installed MiniDLNA. After seeing all the features in fvdw-sl, I would like to have it on my Lacie.

Also, my Lacie is unable to book to the Lacie firmware since I deleted the drive in favour of OpenMediaVault (dumb mistake, should have backed up), and starting the machine boots to the message "Reboot and Select proper Boot Device or Insert Boot Media in Selected Boot Device and Press a key"

Will fvdw-sl still detect my lacie since it shouldn't have an IP at this boot stage?

Thank you for your support.

Hi, the 5big pro has an Intel processor, our firmware supports only the lacie midels with arm processor. Some attemps were made to add the pro but those were not succesful.See 5big pro sub forum. We have kernel that should run on it and an x86 root file system. I installed and run on a seagate intel based nas that is similar as the 5big pro only it seems to have a different boot procedure. As I don't have a 5big pro I cannot investigate it and get our firmware running

Hi there,

Thank you for your efforts and for providing this information. I hope that in the future, there might be a way to get the firmware running on the 5Big Pro because it looks too good for us to miss out lol.

I have attempted to use the LaCie NAS OS to create a new OS drive for reinstalling LaCie's OS, but the process consistently results in an error. I'm unsure if anyone has successfully achieved this. Despite downloading all the LaCie Rescue Keys and updates available here https://www.seagate.com/gb/en/support/c ... #downloads, I haven't been able to use any of them. It would be helpful to know if this is possible.

I am not very knowledgeable about Linux, but I know I can install it on the box if necessary. Is there any way to use this box as a RAID device with UPnP/DLNA activated using Linux?

Thank you.
