doubts on power supply

My power supply gave up yesterday and I've been searching for a new one, the closest I found was this one

https://www.amazon.es/KFD-Adaptador-Cor ... 8695&psc=1

the stock one is 12 amps, but, as I use newer hard disks, they shouldnt draw such current, or will them?

I currently have no time of building another PSU and as I fixed this one once, i'm not very confident with reusing it, so is this one enough for long term use?

Hi

I can not say it is ok because it is a 12V 8.3A whereas the original is a 12V 12.5A
Perhaps 8.3A would be enough but it depends mainly of your disks power consumption (Think also with some USB additional drives if you use them)

What disks do you have ?

You can find here the power consumption of the usual disk for nas : https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/red-wd20efrx-wd30efrx-nas,3248-8.html

I use one from 10 amp and that works ok.
8,3 Amp will deliver 100 watts, typycally a harddisk consume about 20 watts when starting up, when running it will be lower, (recent harddisk will consume I guess around 10 watt). Also the disks do not start simultaneously when using our firmware,so probably 8,3 amp could be sufficient. But no guarantees given.
