Hi
fvdw-sl console can be used to investigate what is the issue if the nas does not start.

Yes it is the system disk (sda)
Please to note it can be also included in your raid5

from disk setup menu, click on the volume name of your raid and use the grow feature

:shocked
So you have only 4 disks and you already have the max raid5 size
Then "Grow feature" is not available

Because it is useless...
you have a raid 5 only on the data partition
Please to note with lacie firmware, fw partitions are never included in a raid5 but only raid1. Some inconsistency on these raid1 explains why some times the nas fails to start.
on our side, if there is an issue on the system partitions, you have fvdw-sl console to repair them.
