5big Network 2 Flashing Blue Light

Hi,
I've read many posts in this forum all relating to similar issues with none of their fixes seem to be working.

I have my Lacie 5 big Network 2 with a blue flashing light on the front and the HDD lights on the rear lit up blue flickering occasionally. I have tried powering down, up without networking and using the fvdw software to read the drive in hope that i could get connected to it. But with no luck, SSH isn't enabled i don't think. Also getting to it via browser only displays "Your device may be powering on. Please try again in a few minutes." I really don't want to to lose the data on it as we haven't a copy of it anywhere else.

Any help would be appreciated.

Many Thanks

Hi,

if your RAID is not dead you should be able to backup your data (but restore the firmware is not guarantee)

I assume you mean "fvdw-sl console" when you say "using the fvdw software to read the drive".

So currently the first step is to get an access via this app.
Please to read this topic Fvdw-sl console telnet does not connect ( standalone kernel)
In your case you need also to select the standalone kernel image: UIMAGE-3142-KIRKWOOD-158-standalone (and nothing else)

And of course, you have to follow step by step the action "Load a standalone kernel". Please to read carefully the related help.
