think we have found the problem
This new kernel I have send ypu also contains changes to get support for the lacie wireless space and for that the ethernet driver is chnaged and as result also the bonding module must be recompiled. On my system I had this recompiled module

Attached a new set of modules

put the file in the fvdw share and unpack it with this command

Code: Select all
tar -xvf /direct-usb/fvdw/modules-3.14.2-14.tar  -C /

check if you have now in the folder /lib/modules/3.14.2 a file bondig.ko with date 7-10-2015
If so you have extracted the archive correctly and you can reboot the nas, and now the magic should happen
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Checked the backup menu, however I cannot choose folders inside my USB drive so I only can backup the whole lot in one single folder of the NAS...any other ways?

What browser do you use?

Do you have the same behaviour on a share created on your raid volume?

I'm on an OSX platform (yosemite)

got to try this...I do not have any data copied yet so got to copy first then check it

I let you guys know later on

Do you have the same issue? If you don't then it might be a browser/OS related issue...

I saw WebDav can be activated on this firmware; Could I remote control the NAS with that? Could be useful from work ;)

My ask was what Internet browser do you use? Safari, Firefox, chrome or IE ?

If you use Safari try to use another browser.

At least you have fvdw share ? So to check just create some subfolders on it.
