@fvdw
bring at least an empty disk tomorrow to re-install the firmware, otherwise we will have to repeat all we do from now onwards
Fvdw we must discuss about it before formatting a new disk. Several points must be arbitrated if we want the formatting drives not to have to be re-done with the version released.

if you ask to me that the ONLY ONLY ONLY way to connect one HDD to Lacie is formatting it in his formats I've got an IDEA for mine written Disks :thinking

First....we can use one of the 2 empty HDD for create a bootable disk with custom firmware for the first slot.
Second....we can format the second empty HDD and put it in the second slot.

now we have 4Tb in the lacie right?

at this point, i connect my written Disks by sata to my PC.
so i can transfer allllll the written files by ethernet in the Lacie Disks and this take several Hours :tapfoot ......
in this mode, I can empty my written disk and format them for Lacie connection..... :applause

but really there's no way to put NTFS Disks in the lacie and make comunication between them??.....the "idea" to have many Disks blocked permanently in that cube for the reason that it is the only that can read them, make me sad....

Hi Draftmancorp,

Please wait because there is an error in your method.

In standard use, linux partition can not be directly read or write via windows... (but for example with win7 it exits a method but not handy)

the easier method will be to mount
- the write disk/partition(ntfs) with a special mount command line on the sda disk
- an empty disk also on the sda disk
and copy all data with a linux command

But fvdw and me we first need to agree on the partition table for non-system disks. So wait...

Debian is just a Linux distribution, of course you can install that but you will need to figure out a lot and now nice web interface and so on.
