As each disk has its own data partition (so its own files system), you can buy disks with size 4, 5 or 6 TB if you use them as single disk.

Hi guys, as promised just got home I bought 4 hd but for economic reasons I have had to take 2 tb -.-,
now I can format them already inserted inside the nas or do I have to format them individually connecting to PC ???
