Can't start media servers

Can't start media servers

Postby Flight777 » Fri Sep 28, 2012 2:04 pm

First of all thanks for another great update! However, I have some difficulties with the media servers. All that I get, no matter which one, is service not running. I dont have any other options presented. How can I activate them again?

Thanks!

Hi Flight777,

is it the same issue ?

As other members succeeded to update their nas, I assume that you don't close your browser (all windows) after upgrading.

I'm having the same problem.
It worked fine for me initially as I remember being able to see the config for MiniDLNA but I can no longer get at the config for any media server.
My torrent clients are not available either. Though I believe they are if I point a browser at the port directly. I can't check this currently as I'm not at home.

I am very bewildered with this problem because I do not understand what happens ...

- Thank to send a screenshot
- What browser do you use ?
- What language is used by the webinterface ?
- Check again if there is no other browser windows opened : download window, help window, option windows ...
- when you start again the browser, did it ask you to authentify you again ? and what login do you use ?

Can you answer these questions ?

Thanks

Hi Flight777,

I just upgraded and was having the same problems. I was using safari as my default browser and I got the same message. Then I tried to login to my nas using Firefox and this solves the problem. You can give another browser a try, it worked for me. Off course this doesn't solves the problem entirely but at least you can configure your server.

Hmm strangely IE does display it correctly but Chrome not. Thanks for the responses! :)

Thank Bramozzzz for your post.

I just made some tests with safari and you are right the issue is with the browser Safari.

Seems some js commands aren't correctly performed by Safari.

We must make a revue all menus because not only the media or torrent menus fail but several others like WebDav menu where the alert message to restart the web server is always displayed...

So temporarily, Do not use SAFARI :whistle

----edit----
I identified the problem precisely, safari made some confusion on the declared variables ... :shocked

I just post a safari patch
