usb disk problem

I can not change anything that I have the hard drive connected by usb, it tells me that I have the necessary permissions.

which format is used on the external usb disk

If it is ntfs then you need to enable ntfs r/w driver in the disk settings menu. But still then certain ntfs permission can prevent access. In that case you need to adjust the file permission on a windows PC to give everyone r/w access.
To check if it is a file permission issue and to check if write access works , just try to create a new file on it when it is connected to the nwsp2 , if that succeeds then the problem is specific file permissions you have used when storing the files
