Sorry for my lack of participation on the forums. I just started a new job and havent had much time for playing :applause

I was thinking of buying the twonky serial but on the website it says v7 is current. Do you know if the serial works on the installed version on the NAS? Or is it possible we will get a twonky 7 upgrade? Am hesitant to buy anything until i know it will work.

Thanks I will. I have been playing around with miniDLNA and this actually seems quite satisfactory to get music playing on my phone.

Do you have any personal preference for audio streaming from the media servers provided?

Are there any media servers that allow you to build collections? I have a massive archive of music on my NAS and it is logically sorted with folders but building collections via tags, while handy, doesn't allow for much in the way of manipulation.

The firefly server is specific for audio, but you will need an iTunes client

Most of the time I use twonky
