Just got everything up and running and everything seems to work great other than that the drive temp is pretty high around 55-60 celsius when active. I have the drive in a cool place with decent ventilation. Was wondering if I would need active cooling or if this is expected behavior. Running a 5900 RPM 8TB hdd on it aswell.

Yes it is the expected behavior because there is no fan on this nas ! What you can do is to keep open the box and/or add an external fan
