Hi, all!

What should expected performance be like on LaCie Network Space Max with 2 HDDs in RAID1 over 1 gigabit wired connection?

I am getting only 16 MB/s write and 32 MB/s read. I was expecting at least 60 MB/s.

Any ideas?

You won't get more, the cpu of the device is running only at 800 mhz and also the device has only 256 MB of ram. Both limit the max transfer speed you can get. Furthermore it depends if you copy small files (few MB) or large files (100+ MB), with small files speed goes down because of the file headers must be written as well for each file. The speeds 20 MB write, 30 MB read you get only for large files.

I thought something was wrong, since LaCie was advertising 65 MB/s.
