Hi guys I found my old Network Space 2 drive...

I tried to change 1TB hard drive to a 10TB hard drive. So I recognized, that the OS start from the hdd and not from ROM... So I did research on Google and found this forum and also Downloads, but not how to start.
I tried to boot from USB Disk.

At this moment I clone the 1TB to 10TB disk with stock firmware... Maybe it is enought for me... I just need the 10TB disk for backing up my sensitive data from my QNAP...

I am also able to read / write the flash (25L4005A) on the board. If I need to do so... I also read that I maybe need a change to GPT partition table...

I can do all things, but I need a minimal description how to start with that ;)

Update: I recognized how it works.... U-Boot is flashed to a new version supporting GPT and install from Console...
HDD is intializing now...

Glad to hear you discoverd how to to do it yourself.
One remark there are two versions of the nwsp2. The classic and light be sure to use the correct uimage of uboot.

Hi,

There is not a manually downloadable package for version 18.2. You can upgrade the firmware directly from its web-interface (Firmware Update menu).

But to be able to do it you have to install a roll-up patch which fixes an issue with our web hosting provider :

I did the patch... But I forgot to reboot the nas... It works now...
