Downloads (fvdw-sl-console-6-0 +18-1 firmware) broken?

Hello,

I'm trying to install FVDW-SL for the first time on my Network Space 2 (lite, I think) on a blank 2 TB disk. (I have a working LaCie firmware installation on the original 500 GB disk, and would like to leave that one unchanged for the time being.)

I downloaded the five rar archives on fvdw-sl-console-6-0 +18-1 firmware. Install via ms windows and unpacked with 7-Zip or PeaZip, also re-downloaded, but I always get errors during extraction. The following files have a size of 0 Bytes afterwards:

• tftp/firmware/fvdw-sl-18-1-base-v2-29jul19.files.tar.gz
• tftp/firmware/phn.tar.gz
• tftp/UIMAGE-26394-5BIG1-45-standalone

Could someone please check the files? Or do I have to use another program to unpack them? Thanks!

BTW, some documentatin feedback: As a noob, I find it very surprising that installation is possible when the NAS is in a state without an IP address. Nice job! But also, I suggest to make that info more visible (took me a while to find out, maybe I'm blind). Also, for this to work, the NAS must obviously have some firmware stored outside of the disk, which I did not know either. Maybe this deserves mentioning, too.

Nope, files are ok on the server side.

Sorry for my late reply, I accidentally was not subscribed to my own topic.

Thanks for the md5sums. My downloaded files matched those.

After 7-zip failed also on another computer (with no other antivirus than Windows Defender installed), I tried inside a Docker container. (Docker was already installed on the computer where I noticed your reply, anyway.) I used Docker image "debian", started an interactive bash (with the directory with the downloaded rars mounted), installed unrar, and successfully used that to unpack. If anyone is interested in the exact commands, I can share them (but there has to be an easier way to extract, anyway).

Back on my main computer, installation worked, share \\fvdwsl-base\public is looking good so far (df on my Windows 10 PC with cygwin) after copying some files:
