resilio / btsync QR Code

Hello guys,

I'm looking to backup my phone on the NAS but when I'm trying to link the device through the web interface of the NAS, the QR Code never appears. I would like to scan the QR to link the devices.

Another thing, I tried to enter the fingerprint of the NAS on my phone and it worked, but the synchronisation is not working (it's stuck at "connecting...")

Hi Warez,

What resilio version do you use ? free or with a license ?

With the free license, you can not link another host except for is own host. With the free version, you have to use the folder sync feature

Hi,

I use the free license. If I understand well the free version of resilio is completely useless then :D

Who is backing up data from/to the same device ? :p

The fact you can not link other devices with a free license does not mean you can not sync shared data between several devices !
this feature is only to quickly and easily sync several devices/folders from only one device (admin)

Ok so to summarize, the purpose of resilio (with free license) on fvdw-sl is to share data from the NAS to X devices only. Correct ?

If I want to backup a device that is not "admin", I have to upgrade (I just started the 15 days period)

Not!

With free license, resilio allows to share data from/to the NAS to/from X devices but you can not manage sync between two other devices from the NAS.

I advice to read information on resilio site but to summarize, you should :
- install resilio on your phone
- from resilio gui on your phone, create a share folder on the parent folder where are your data
- display its read key (you can not use a QR code as the firmware won't be able to use it)
- from resilio gui on your NAS, create a share folder by using the action "Enter a key or a link"

That's all
